There have been so many positive articles about Pittsburgh lately, I can hardly keep up! This is certainly the best one yet! It starts out discussing our unemployment rate (5.5% - one of the lowest in the country) and also cites the fact that our wages are up, foreclosures are fairly uncommon, and that while throughout the rest of the country housing prices are on the decline - here they rose! The article focuses on one of my favorite things to talk about with clients - how Pittsburgh - through the efforts of many - steadily implemented a plan to re-invent itself after the collapse of the Steel Industry here. Forbes Names Pittsburgh in Top Ten Cities for Job Growth

Forbes magazine has named Pittsburgh as one of its top ten cities for Job Growth in a recently published list. They used criteria based upon the recent surge in growth of jobs here in Education, Medicine and Construction that I recently blogged about, and also took into account the low unemployment rate.
